To prepare fresh, hygienic, and nutritious meals for employees while maintaining high standards of food quality, cleanliness, and kitchen safety.Main Duties & ResponsibilitiesPrepare breakfast, lunch, dinner, and other meals according to the approved menu.Prepare meals in the required quantity for all employees.Follow the daily and weekly meal schedule.Prepare different types of Indian, Pakistani, Bangladeshi, and other meals as required.Ensure food is properly cooked, fresh, tasty, and served on time.Maintain proper food hygiene and cleanliness at all times.Wash, clean, cut, and prepare vegetables, meat, chicken, rice, and other ingredients.Check the quality and freshness of food ingredients before cooking.Store food items properly and prevent food wastage.Follow proper portion sizes and avoid unnecessary wastage of ingredients.Maintain cleanliness of cooking equipment, utensils, worktops, floors, and kitchen areas.Clean the kitchen after every meal preparation.Ensure raw and cooked food are handled and stored separately.Follow proper food storage and temperature-control procedures.Inform the supervisor when food ingredients or kitchen supplies are running low.Assist with receiving and checking food supplies when required.Maintain proper stock rotation and use older stock first where appropriate.Follow all company health, safety, and hygiene rules.Report any damaged kitchen equipment or safety issue immediately.Cooperate with the Mess Supervisor and other kitchen staff.Support special meals, events, or additional meal requirements when requested.Food Hygiene & SafetyWash hands and maintain personal hygiene before handling food.Wear proper kitchen uniform, hair covering, gloves, and other PPE as required.Keep raw meat, vegetables, and cooked food properly separated.Ensure food is cooked and stored safely.Do not use expired, spoiled, or contaminated ingredients.Keep kitchen equipment clean and safe.Immediately report any food safety concern to the supervisor.SkillsPrevious experience as a Cook, preferably in a factory, labor camp, restaurant, hotel, or large kitchen.Good knowledge of bulk cooking and meal preparation.Ability to prepare meals for a large number of people.Knowledge of basic food hygiene and kitchen safety.Ability to follow menus and instructions.Good time management and organizational skills.Ability to work under pressure during busy meal times.Physically fit and able to stand for long periods.Ability to work as part of a kitchen/mess team.
