This includes developing and enhancing geo-synthetic and composite systems by discovering new materials, establishing specifications, and identifying potential applications in projects.Research and evaluation of major geo-synthetic and composite materials produced by international manufacturers will be required. The engineer will assess their technical specifications and determine their suitability for use in different construction projects. Design calculations will need to be produced to support the use of these materials.Site investigations will be carried out to assess subsurface conditions, analyze soil, rock, and groundwater properties, and evaluate the stability of natural slopes and man-made soil deposits.
