Roles & ResponsibilitiesLead and manage the technical function for Interior Design and Finishes across multiple projectsOversee the full design development process from concept through execution, ensuring alignment with project requirements and client visionEnsure all ID drawings, specifications, and materials comply with Employer?s Requirements, brand standards, and overall project objectivesDrive value engineering initiatives to optimize costs while maintaining design quality and intentCoordinate closely with consultants, contractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure seamless integration of design and executionManage and secure approvals from authorities including DM, DEWA, and Civil defence, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirementsReview and approve mock-ups, material submissions, and finishing samples to maintain consistent quality across projectsProvide technical guidance and solutions for complex design and construction challengesMonitor all ID and finishes works to ensure compliance with safety, quality standards, and company proceduresGuide project teams on best practices in high-end finishes, detailing, and execution methodologiesSupport commercial teams with cost inputs, material selections, and alternative design solutionsEnsure completion of all technical documentation, certifications, warranties, and project close-out deliverablesLead, mentor, and develop technical teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and design excellenceCapture and implement lessons learned across projects to improve processes and performanceConduct regular reviews of project teams to monitor progress, performance, and complianceDesired Candidate ProfileBachelor?s degree in civil engineering or architecture20+ years of experience in the construction industry, with strong exposure to Interior Design (ID) and high-end finishesMinimum 7+ years in a senior leadership role managing technical teamsProven experience in high-rise towers, large-scale developments, residential villas, and full project lifecycle deliveryStrong expertise in ID coordination, fit-out execution, materials selection, and finishing techniquesThorough knowledge of UAE regulations including Dubai Municipality (DM), DEWA, and Civil defence requirementsDemonstrated experience in managing consultants, leading design development, and obtaining authority approvalsStrong commercial awareness with hands-on experience in value engineering across structure, fa‡ade, finishes, MEP, specialized systems, and fit-out worksExcellent leadership, communication, stakeholder management, and negotiation skillsStrong decision-making, problem-solving, and risk management capabilitiesAbility to balance design intent with cost efficiency, quality standards, and project timelines
