We are looking for a detail-driven General Accountant to take ownership of the full accounting cycle. If you enjoy hands-on accounting in a multi-entity international environment, this is the opportunity for you.Key ResponsibilitiesManage Accounts: Oversee and manage the daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, general ledger, and financial reporting. Handle general accounting tasks, including preparing and reconciling financial statements and Tax declarations.Closing Activities: Manage monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings in accordance with IFRS standards.Reporting & Analysis: Prepare, record, analyze, and report financial data, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of accounting records.Ensure Compliance: Maintain accurate records and verify transactions, ensuring compliance with accounting policies.Support Audits: Assist in internal and external audits and contribute to various projects as needed.Stakeholder Communication: Engage with internal and external stakeholders to address all financial accounting-related matters.Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and systems, enhancing efficiency and accuracy.SkillsQualifications and SkillsProfessional accounting qualification (e.g., CA, CPA, ACCA, CMA) is preferable.Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or finance.Prior experience in the aviation industry is a plus.Strong knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and regulations.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office SuiteExceptional attention to detail and accuracy.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.Working knowledge of IFRS and UAE VAT and Corporate Tax.Other Preferred QualificationsQualified accountants and auditors with relevant certifications and experience.Experience working in a multinational company or group of companies.Currently residing in the UAE and available to join at short notice.
