Job Description

  • Welcome patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Ensure a positive and comfortable experience for patients upon arrival.
  • Schedule appointments for patients, either in person, over the phone, or through online systems.
  • Coordinate with medical staff to ensure availability and proper scheduling.
  • Collect and verify patient information, including personal and insurance details.
  • Update and maintain patient records accurately.
  • Verify insurance coverage and eligibility for patients.
  • Assist patients in understanding their insurance benefits and coverage.
  • Answer and direct phone calls to the appropriate staff or department.
  • Provide information to callers or route calls to the appropriate party.
  • Manage the check-in and check-out process for patients.
  • Collect co-pays or other payments as required.
  • Maintain and organize medical records in compliance with healthcare regulations.
  • Ensure the confidentiality and security of patient information.
  • Communicate with patients regarding appointment reminders, follow-up visits, or test results.
  • Address patient inquiries and provide information as needed.
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and general office organization.
  • Collaborate with other administrative and clinical staff to support overall office efficiency.
  • Address and resolve patient concerns or complaints in a professional and empathetic manner.
  • Escalate issues to appropriate personnel when necessary.
  • Stay informed about healthcare policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Handle multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize based on urgency.
  • Maintain composure in a fast-paced environment.
