Roles & ResponsibilitiesCHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER (EMIRATI)Position OverviewThe Chief Financial Officer will lead the Bank's finance function and financial strategy, overseeing financial planning, reporting, profitability, capital and liquidity management, regulatory reporting, tax governance, financial controls and stakeholder relationships.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute the Bank's financial strategy aligned with business objectives, regulatory requirements and Group priorities.Advise senior management on:Financial performanceCapital allocationProfitabilityCost managementStrategic business decisionsDrive balance sheet optimization, profitability enhancement, capital adequacy and liquidity management.Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and business performance management.Monitor financial performance and recommend corrective actions where required.Oversee financial reporting and accounting functions, ensuring timely and accurate preparation of financial statements in accordance with IFRS and Group policies.Ensure compliance with regulatory reporting requirements, including submissions to CBUAE, RBI and other relevant authorities.Lead tax governance and compliance covering:UAE Corporate TaxVATTransfer PricingCross-border tax reportingApplicable Emirate-level taxationMaintain a robust financial control and governance framework.Ensure effective internal controls, risk management and regulatory compliance.Manage relationships with CBUAE, FTA, auditors, tax authorities, Head Office and other key stakeholders.Oversee internal and external audits and ensure timely closure of audit observations.Lead and develop the Finance function, promoting accountability, integrity, continuous improvement and talent development.Desired Candidate ProfileMinimum 8?10 years of UAE banking finance experience.Minimum 3 years in a senior finance leadership role within a UAE-based bank.Strong understanding of UAE banking regulations and financial reporting requirements.Proven experience dealing with CBUAE, FTA, auditors and other regulatory stakeholders.Experience in foreign bank branches, multinational banks or international banking groups will be preferred.Technical & Functional KnowledgeIFRSUAE Central Bank regulationsBasel III capital and liquidity requirementsUAE Corporate Tax and VATTransfer Pricing and cross-border tax mattersBudgeting and forecastingFinancial planning and performance managementInternal controls over financial reportingCorporate governanceCapital and liquidity managementRegulatory and financial reportingEducational QualificationMandatory:Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a relevant discipline.Preferred Master's Qualification:Master's Degree / MBA in Banking & FinancePreferred Professional Qualifications:ACCAICAI / CACPAICMAI / CMACIMACFACOMMON ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTSUAE National (Emirati) with Family Book (Khulasat Al Qaid) ? Mandatory.Maximum age: 50 years.Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder-management skills.Willingness to work at any branch/office within the UAE, as required.Previous employment record should be satisfactory and free from disciplinary or legal issues.Candidates must comply with applicable CBUAE regulations and UAE banking requirements.Candidates must be able to provide supporting documentation for identity, nationality, educational qualifications, professional certifications and relevant work experience during the selection process.
