Chief accountant required for a well-established Engineering Consultancy firm based in Dubai, delivering high-quality consulting services across infrastructure, construction, and development projects. As part of our expansion, we are seeking to recruit an experienced Chief Accountant to lead our finance function and support our strategic growth.SkillsThe Chief Accountant will be responsible for managing the full accounting cycle of the company, ensuring compliance with UAE regulations, optimizing financial performance, and providing accurate financial reporting to management. This role requires strong experience in engineering consultancy or construction project accounting.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee full-cycle accounting operations including AR, AP, GL, payroll, and bank reconciliationsManage project-based accounting and revenue recognition for engineering consultancy contractsPrepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reportsEnsure compliance with UAE VAT regulations, filings, and FTA requirementsMonitor cash flow, budgeting, forecasting, and financial planningCoordinate external audits and regulatory reportingImplement and maintain strong financial controls and accounting policiesSupport management with financial analysis, profitability tracking, and cost controlLead and supervise the accounting teamCandidate RequirementsBachelor?s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fieldProfessional qualification: CA / CPA / ACCA / CMA preferredMinimum 8?12 years of relevant accounting experience, with at least 4?5 years in engineering consultancy or construction sectorStrong knowledge of project accounting, contract costing, and revenue recognitionSolid experience in UAE VAT and regulatory complianceProficiency in accounting systems / ERPs (Peachtree, Zoho, SAP, Oracle, Tally, or similar)Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
