Job Description

Job PurposeUnder the supervision of the CISM (Country Information Systems Manager) the Microsoft 365 PowerApp and Automate Developer is responsible for developing applications and solutions within the Office 365 ecosystem. Specifically creating solutions using Microsoft Forms, Power Automate, Power BI, PowerApps and SharePoint Online.Working with the CISM and stakeholders across the mission?s departments, to understand the needs, processes and develop solutions to help improve, streamline, and potentially automate business process.The developer should be security focused in in their development, including RBAC (Role Based Access Control), view, edit, owner privileges, and the ability to restrict who can view what data.Throughout and post development of solutions, the developer should be documenting the development process, ensure issues documented, issues escalated, and reporting on progress.The developer will be responsible for developing and delivering user training in SharePoint Online and any new solutions developed internallyObjectives

  • support the CISM in implementing and setting the mission application development strategic objectives.
  • Work with all stakeholders to develop streamlined solutions.
  • Review business and process and suggest changes to help improve business process.
  • provide 2nd and 3rd line support on SharePoint Online and internally developed solutions

Duties and Responsibilities
  1. System Development
  2. Create workflow and triggers that integrated with Microsoft Form, SharePoint Online, and Power Apps.
  3. Monitoring, testing, and maintaining Power Automate workflow
  4. Innovate and create Power Apps for new solutions as required to provide user friendly UX.
  5. Extending the Power Automate/365 eco system with the use of .NET
  6. Create SharePoint Online lists or SQL DB?s for the management of data
  7. Monitor and Maintain post solution implementation.
  8. Integrating into SharePoint Online and other applications using Power Automate.
  9. Working with stakeholders on reviewing business process for digitizing.
  10. Developing application with security in mind, like RBAC, view/edit permissions.
  11. Document work, create guides and training materials
  12. Tracking issues and changes to systems
  13. Provide user training on new systems.
  1. IT Service Desk
  2. Provide 2nd line support to users on internally developed systems
  3. Provide 3rd line support to IT Team on issues relating to SharePoint Online, Power Automate and other 365 apps.
  4. Ensuring SLO (Service Level Objectives) are met
  5. Escalate Issue to Service Desk Lead, and CISM as required in line with SLO
  6. Creating materials internal IT Team knowledge base
  7. Creating guides for a user knowledge base for self-help on IT Issues
  8. Training IT Team in more advanced functions of SharePoint Online and 365 apps like Power Automate
  9. Ensure Change requests are raised to CISM for approval before changes are made
  1. Hardware & Software
  2. Input into the setting standards for hardware in line with CISM
Advise CISM on both new software and possible software solutions
  1. Projects
  2. Participate in projects as directed by CISM
  3. Lead on projects tasks under the supervision of CISM for IT Solitons to improve the system, connectivity, and service
  4. Be the lead developer for all infernal solutions
  5. Track and report on project status to CISM on regular basis
Ensure projects tasks under their lead are running on time, and budget
  1. IT Policies & procedures
  2. Assist in the creation and editing of IT Policies and procedures
  3. Enforce and report breaches to IT Policies by staff to CISM
  4. Advise users on how to comply with GDPR in their role whilst using technology, encryption, sharing of data
  5. Report breaches of GDPR to CISM
  6. Report data breaches to CISM
  7. Develop under direction of CISM & act as lead for the onboarding and offboarding of staff is correctly carried out including, inventory, induction, creation and deletion of accounts.
  8. Take lead on recommendation of IT standards for hardware and software
  1. Reporting
  2. Produce reports as directed by CISM.
  3. Reporting on tasks, progress, and issues to CISM.
Complete any mandatory ACTED reporting.
  1. Training, Development, and research
  2. Continual self-development of technical features and the application of Microsoft 365
  3. Participate in training delivered internally, externally or OnDemand paid for by ACTED.
  4. Deliver Training to other IT Team members
  5. Deliver training to ACTED users on security, how to use application & best practice
  6. Stay up to date, research IT & Cyber security to help advise other IT Staff and users.
Work on delivery new and improved training of 365 and the internal systems for users.
  1. Nature of the Job
  2. Sunday ? Thursday standard working week.
  3. 9am ? 5pm working day
  4. Expectation to start from 6am and finish at 9pm pm to solve any unforeseen issues or planned maintenance.
  5. Flexible working between office and home at discretion of CISM
  6. Flexible working is subject to satisfactory performance according to CISM
  7. Occasion Friday and Saturday work may be required to carry out work outside of working days ? alternative day off given for the following week.
  8. Whilst this ToR defines the main responsibilities and work required, this is subject to change to meet the needs of the mission, and duties changed by the CISM.
