VxRail Engineer

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, deploy, and configure VxRail systems to meet the organizations requirements.
• Plan and execute VxRail infrastructure upgrades and expansions.
• Integrate VxRail with existing network and storage infrastructure.
• Monitor the performance and health of VxRail systems, identifying and resolving issues proactively.
• Perform regular maintenance tasks, including patch management, firmware updates, and system optimizations.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for VxRail-related issues.
• Implement best practices for VxRail performance tuning and optimization.
• Ensure VxRail systems are secure and compliant with organizational policies and industry standards.
• Conduct security assessments and implement necessary controls to protect data and infrastructure.
• Work closely with network, storage, and virtualization teams to ensure seamless integration of VxRail with other IT systems.
• Document all configurations, changes, and troubleshooting steps thoroughly.
• Provide training and guidance to IT staff on VxRail best practices and operations.
• Lead and participate in infrastructure projects, ensuring timely and successful completion.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs.
• Manage project timelines, resources, and deliverables effectively.

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Equivalent work experience will be considered.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT infrastructure, with a focus on VxRail and VMware technologies.
• Proven track record of designing, implementing, and supporting VxRail systems in a production environment.
• Deep understanding of VxRail architecture and components.
• Proficiency in VMware technologies, including vSphere, vSAN, and NSX.
• Experience with backup and recovery solutions, preferably using DataDomain.
• Strong knowledge of network and storage integration with VxRail.
• Familiarity with scripting and automation tools for infrastructure management.
• Relevant certifications such as VMware Certified Professional (VCP), Dell EMC Certified Specialist - Implementation Engineer, VxRail (DES-6321), or similar are highly desirable.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Project management skills and experience leading infrastructure projects.
