Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Provide first and second-level technical support to end-users via phone, email, and remote assistance.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software, and network issues promptly and efficiently.
  • Assist with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of computer systems, software, and peripherals.
  • Perform regular system maintenance, updates, and patch management to ensure optimal performance.
  • Monitor system performance and manage system backups and data recovery operations.
  • Ensure all IT equipment, including desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices, are up-to-date and functioning correctly.
  • Document all support activities, resolutions, and follow-up actions in the helpdesk ticketing system.
  • Generate and analyze reports on common issues and recommend solutions to improve support processes.
  • Maintain an updated knowledge base and technical documentation for end-users and IT staff.
  • Provide training and guidance to end-users on best practices for using IT resources effectively.
  • Assist with onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring all IT resources are correctly set up and decommissioned.
  • Conduct IT orientation sessions for new employees.
Skills Required:
  • Strong knowledge of Windows and Mac operating systems.
  • Familiarity with networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP.
  • Experience with remote desktop applications and help desk software.
  • Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles and practices.
  • Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues quickly and effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users in a clear and concise manner.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong customer service orientation with a focus on meeting end-user needs.
  • Ability to handle difficult situations with patience and professionalism.
  • Experience in a customer support role is highly desirable.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Associates degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Relevant IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft Certified Professional) are a plus.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a technical support or help desk role.
