Job Description

Cyber Security Specialists will be critical in safeguarding an organizations systems, networks, and data from potential threats and vulnerabilities. Responsible for implementing security measures, monitoring systems for potential breaches, and responding to security incidents. Your expertise in cyber security technologies, risk assessment, and incident response will protect the organizations information assets and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.Responsibilities:

• Security Infrastructure and Controls: Implement and maintain security infrastructure, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, antivirus software, and encryption technologies. Establish and enforce security policies, procedures, and best practices.
• Penetration Testing and Vulnerability Assessment: Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration tests to identify system vulnerabilities and potential weaknesses. Analyze test results, provide recommendations, and coordinate remediation efforts.
• Threat Monitoring and Incident Response: Monitor security systems and networks for potential threats, intrusions, and security breaches. Investigate and respond to security incidents, including analyzing logs, conducting forensic investigations, and implementing corrective actions.
• Security Audits and Compliance: Conduct security audits and assessments to ensure compliance with relevant regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA) and industry standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST). Identify security gaps, develop mitigation strategies, and participate in audit activities.
• Security Awareness and Training: Develop and deliver security awareness and training programs to educate employees on security best practices, phishing awareness, and incident response protocols.
• Security Incident Management: Establish and maintain an incident response plan, including incident detection, response, and recovery procedures. Coordinate with internal teams, external vendors, and law enforcement agencies during security incidents.
• Security Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of security systems, procedures, incident reports, and risk assessments. Prepare and present security reports, metrics, and recommendations to stakeholders and senior management.
• Emerging Trends and Technologies: Stay current with the latest cyber security trends, threats, and technologies. Evaluate and recommend new security solutions, tools, and technologies to enhance the organizations security posture.

• Relevant industry certifications include CISSP, CISM, CEH, or CompTIA Security+.
• Proven experience in cyber security roles, including security operations, incident response, or vulnerability management.
• Strong knowledge of security technologies, such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, antivirus software, SIEM solutions, and encryption protocols.
• Familiarity with security frameworks and standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST Cybersecurity Framework) and applicable regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
• Experience with security assessment and testing tools (e.g., Nessus, Burp Suite, Wireshark) and vulnerability management processes.
• Understanding of networking protocols, TCP/IP, routing, and switching.
• Knowledge of security best practices for various platforms and operating systems (Windows, Linux, etc.).
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Ability to work in a challenging environment, prioritize tasks, and respond to incidents promptly.
