Description of key result areas of department:To ensure that NMDC?s position is protected through an in-depth understanding of contractual, commercial, insurance and legal processes relating to procurement.To ensure the achievement of NMDC?s projects commercial objectives.Focus on NMDC?s business priorities while meeting customer demands Responsibilities:Prepares contractual and commercial aspects of any procurement, support works and service tenders required by projects and/or tendering department, in consultation with the Department Head.Prepares and compiles tender documents to issue to subcontractors and majors suppliers as required.Manage a strategic procurement process that reflects customer's needs.Ensure business processes are complied with.Manage the timely procurement of subcontractors in accordance with the subcontractor procurement tracker business process.Participates in the technical and un-priced commercial evaluation of tenders and then leads the subsequent priced commercial evaluation of technically acceptable offers. Prepares a comprehensive techno-commercial evaluation report and recommendations.Drafting and negotiation of relevant subcontract terms and conditions from company?s standard contracts with successful bidder.Processes award recommendations, ensure necessary approvals and finalize negotiations with successful bidderChecks conformity of bidders to all tender documentation including for example guarantees, performance bonds, insurance and the like with agreed formats and processes as required.Demonstrate a reasonable level of commercial and technical knowledge.Maintain a relationship with suppliers/subcontractors.This is a generalist view of a Job that you have been assigned for ? at times you may be requested to do above/beyond the scope of this role due to Operational requirements.
