Key Responsibilities:? Performs routine clinical laboratory tests done in hematology, chemistry, immunohematology, microbiology, immunology and coagulation.? Presents specimens to the pathologist in an orderly manner, making sure that examination requests correspond with the respective specimens that is appropriate labeled as to the correct patient.? Updates information available for tissue samples received on daily basis.? Constantly updates the Laboratory Information System based on written physician orders.? Maintains quality results by running standards and controls, verifying equipment function through routine equipment maintenance and advanced trouble shooting; calibrating equipment utilizing approved testing procedures; monitoring quality control measures and protocols.? Transports specimens in a timely manner from the collection areas or patient rooms to the clinical laboratory.? Contributes to a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors, physicians and co-workers by following established standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.? Performs other duties as delegated by the Senior Pathologist.Qualification Required:? Bachelors Degree or Masters Degree in Medical Technology.Experience Required:? Minimum 4 years of experience as a Laboratory Technician in a hospital? Strong English verbal and written communication skills.
