The Learning and Development Specialist will be responsible for the design, development and implementation of various employee learning and development programs that aligns with the company?s business needs. S/he will support the ongoing development needs of employees through the tracking and evaluation of progress, the assessment of knowledge gaps, and the provision of coaching and additional training interventions. The Learning and Development Specialist must collaborate effectively with all stakeholders and successfully utilize technology to execute learning and development initiatives.Duties/Responsibilities:? Assesses training and development needs through surveys, interviews and communication with Department heads and line managers.? Develops training programs to fulfill employee specific needs to maintain or improve job skills.? Presents training and development programs using various forms and formats including group discussion, facilitation, simulations, and videos.? Creates training procedure manuals, guides, and course materials.? Maintains records of training and development activities, attendance, results of tests and assessments, and retraining requirements.? Administrate the company?s on-line Learning Management System (LMS) and ensure systematic capture of corporate training records and data. ? Evaluates program effectiveness through assessments, surveys, and feedback.? Maintains knowledge of the latest trends in training and development.? Prepares and implements training budget; maintains records and reports of expenses.? Performs other related duties as required.Required Skills/Abilities:? The candidate must have experience in designing, developing and delivering training material; developing a training strategy and understanding of different training methods and channels ? Ability to /Experience in linking training to performance and quality ? Ability to/Experience in carrying out Training Needs Analysis ? Able to communicate ideas and instructions to staff at all levels in a clear and concise manner. ? Able to plan activities in a rapidly changing environment. ? Experience in analyzing a business problem and working with multiple stakeholders and subject matter experts to develop a solution to resolve it ? Experience in managing content and administering an online Learning Management System (LMS) ? Experience in modular/blended development programs including online training material? Strong interpersonal and presentation skills ? experience working with a multi-cultural organization ? Advanced or proficient level of Microsoft Office skills, Power Point and Excel in particular
