As a member of the Engineering work team you will assist in carrying out repair and maintenance work of the kitchen equipment systems and laundry equipment/machines with the preparation of their required parts lists, keeping accurate log of work done.You will be responsible for assisting other technicians in emergencies carrying out other engineering duties, attends to the mechanical operation and maintenance work as may be required by the Maintenance Manager and according to the needs of the Department. This challenging position has responsibility to ensure hotel maintenance quality and safety standards are achieved and maintained; report all unsafe conditions or malfunctioning equipment to supervisor and may advise hotel staff in the safe and proper use of equipment. This job also requires ability to perform the following: Carrying, lifting pushing and/or pulling heavy items, frequently standing up and moving about the facility, frequently handling objects and equipment to maintain the facility.Responsibilities:Do general repair and maintenance duties in regard to laundry plumbing, electrical systems and kitchen equipment.Do painting and finishing of furniture and structureCheck electrical systems such as lighting systems and make minor repairsCheck and make minor repairs on general plumbing systems and fixtures such as pipelines, toilets and sinksDo basic maintenance and repair of laundry& kitchen equipment using manuals and their past historycounting and making rounds through the laundry & kitchen on a periodic basisMaking sure that no ironing or starching is done on unauthorized clothingEnsure that the building, as well as the outside area designated for laundry, is kept clean and secureJob Location:DubaiRequired education:High school or equivalentRequired experience:Kitchen and Laundry Technician in UAE: 2 years
