Key Responsibilities:? To diagnose and treat conditions of the respiratory system, including the lungs, bronchial tubes and chest areas affected by conditions of the airways.? Prescribes and supervises diagnostic procedures including arterial blood gas measurements, chest X-rays, CT scans, Bronchoscopies ,and Positron Emission Tomography (PET).? Assists and/or performs minor surgeries related to the respiratory tract, as required.? To assess a patient's ability to withstand the stresses of surgery, and assists the surgeons create a breathing-management strategy for each patient.? Provides continuous post-operative care to monitor the patients' condition until their breathing has stabilized.? Regularly updates his knowledge of all the current treatments, drugs and methodologies.Qualification Required:? American Board Certification/UK Board/Fachartz or equivalent western qualification is essential.? Valid UAE License required.Experience Required:? Minimum 8 years post board experience.? Candidates with ICU experience are preferred.? Clinical expertise in restrictive lung diseases, such as, lung cancers.
