Main Function? Complete sale transactions accurately and provide quality customer service by following the best practices. Provide excellent assistance and support to customers at all times. Duties and Responsibilities? Ensure a safe and clean environment by maintaining safety standards, performing maintenance and cleaning as required by front-end operations, including eliminating obstacles in the cash register lanes? Operate all cash register equipment, scan items using barcodes across cash scanner, calculate the correct cash amount due for purchased items and accurately process customer transactions while following company procedures? Ensure visibility of prices and stickers for purchased items are as per the approved price list and appearing on the screen? Maintain appropriate cash levels in POS drawers and ensure that register area is stocked with appropriate supplies such as shopping bag, cash rolls , etisalat rolls, du cards, charitycoupons, etc.? Collect the required change for daily transaction from Assistant Treasurer? Provide excellent customer service by greeting each customer, respond effectively to queries and locate merchandiser for any assistant required by customer? Advice customer concerning special offers, promotions and assist customer in packing of purchased items in case of absence of Counter Helper.? For currency payment other than UAE Dirhams, convert using the updated conversion rate provided by Assistant Treasurer? Responsible for all shortage/excess and securing the balance money received (after noting the 'Z' Value) in bags to be kept in locker.? Apply efficient customer checkout to minimize customer waiting time and long queue? Report to Supervisor regarding unavailable items and other remarks about goods and prices received from customers? Communicate with Services Officer in preserving items left behind by customers and coordinate with Helpers/ Merchandisers to return not purchased items brought to cash counter.
