Job DescriptionKey Responsibilities? Assists in the repair of various types of vessel engines, machines, equipment and parts in accord with manufacturer standards as required to keep the vessels and equipment in good running condition.? Identifies and lists spare parts that are needed for repair, servicing and maintenance of vessels and equipment.? Learns how to evaluate the performance of critical marine engines, equipment and machinery in order to prepare and implement plans for maintenance.? Prepares records of all maintenance activities and report any non-conformance in line with Company prescribed procedures.? Assists in the assembly of data for Technical Superintendents to facilitate successful dry-docking planning.? Undergoes training from the Marine Engineers on the servicing and maintenance of all new vessels in order to carry out the normal maintenance as per the maintenance schedule.? Learns and understands the standard operating procedures as prescribed by the company to ensure consistent standards and operating practices.Qualification Required? Trade certificate for Marine mechanics, with technical know on various types of marine engines, machines, equipment and parts.Experience Required? Up to 2 years in ships/shipyards and marine workshops. Ability to repair simple marine engines, machines, equipment and parts repair & maintenance and simple troubleshooting.
