Tunisia: Communications OfficerInternews is seeking a Communications Officer for a USG-funded project which focuses on strengthening key electoral institutions, civil society organizations, media, and elected officials in order to increase public trust and inclusive participation in the political process in Tunisia.Reporting to the Tunisia Project Manager, the Communications Officer will oversee and implement Internews? communication and digital strategy, manage content creation according to editorial guidelines, and plan content publication with the objective of increasing the audience for content related to Internews? Project in Tunisia. The Communications Officer is also responsible for devising and implementing strategies to ensure all data, research, and stories are shared for greatest impact with the media partners, donors, the public, and the media industry.Day-to-day tasks:In coordination with Project Manager and Senior Media Advisor, develops and executes a communications strategy for Internews in Tunisia that includes engaging multimedia content creation, copywriting, and social media engagement;Implementation and execution of all aspects of the digital strategy related to Internews? Project Facebook and YouTube accounts, as well as on the Internews website and the e-learning platform;Develops new and innovative ideas related to communications to raise the visibility of Internews in Tunisia and Internews? local media partners in close collaboration with the Senior Media Advisor e.g. interactive websites, interactive maps, infographics, motion graphics, animations, educational videos, music videos, mobile apps;Leverage a diverse body of knowledge to feed digital channels with content to effectively support Internews in Tunisia and to achieve the project?s objectives;Develop and monitor audience engagement metrics in coordination with MERL Officer.Support media partners in developing and/or updating communications strategies, as needed;Oversee and advise on the development of a digital learning platform and community of practice;Manage community of practice digital platform after launch;Manage paid digital campaigns (Facebook, Google, etc.);Perform any other relevant duties as required; andIn all duties, an understanding of and demonstrated commitment to upholding .Qualifications:MA in social science, evaluation, journalism, visual or mass communication, or related field or equivalent standard of education or equivalent lived/professional experience.At least 3-5 years of experience in the production, management, and analysis of social media and the management of digital communities.Knowledge and interest in storytelling, data visualization, and visual communicationExperience in developing social media strategies for channel growth and specific campaigns.Experience in creating original content and products by editorial guidelines and objectives.Experience in developing digital campaigns.Proven track record of audience and community growth on social media.Proficiency in Microsoft Office software and experience with video and photo editing software is an asset.Ability to manage deadlines and work collaboratively in a dynamic environment.Excellent oral and written communication skills in Tunisian Arabic and French.Proficiency in English is required.Ability to work and reside in Tunisia.Internews Network is an EEO/AAP/OFCCP employer.
