  • Engineering lead
  • Responsible for managing the personnel and budgets of the Engineering Department (engineering, maintenance, and process engineering teams).
  • Responsible for engineering/maintenance and process engineering staff hiring, training and development.
  • Actively support all engineering team members in successful planning and implementation of Growth plans in current and/or future goals.
  • Drives the personal development and succession planning processes in the context of the future headcount/manpower needs of the engineering teams.
  • Responsible for driving engagement, effective communication, and development of Direct reports
  • Responsible for planning, execution, and management of capital projects.
  • Responsible for the life cycle of all facilities systems, utilities systems and production systems ? design, implementation, operation and maintenance, modifications, expansions, replacement, and decommissioning activities.
  • Support site?s management in the strategic planning and preparation of the site for future business and production plans.
  • Responsible for ensuring all Engineering and Maintenance work performed in the Production areas is performed in accordance with EHS procedures
  • Responsible for maintaining and ensuring reliability of all Manufacturing and Packaging equipment
  • Responsible for ensuring all Manufacturing and Packaging equipment is maintained in accordance to PQS and on site Quality procedures
  • Develop mechanisms for monitoring, trending, and reporting all equipment and systems performances.
  • Liaises with central Technical Group to keep current on site wide process technology issues.
  • Ensure compliance with Site Quality management policies, in accordance with Pfizer Quality Standards (PQS).
  • EHS and security lead
  • Ensure compliance with applicable EHS regulations and permits.
  • Strengthen the Safety culture through continuous improvement of comprehensive health and safety management policies, programs, and procedures to control inherent risks with guidance from regional H&S lead.
  • Ensure robust EHS compliance by managing and implementing strong EHS policies, programs, verification programs and procedures with guidance from regional lead.
  • Manage the site?s Business Continuity and Crisis Management Plan and serves as leader of the site?s Business Continuity Team.
  • Participate on the site operations team and provide EHS support and guidance.
  • Provide technical expertise in the areas of injury and illness prevention, risk assessments, safety and health audits, incident investigations and corrective action plans, safety and health standard interpretation, ergonomics, plant protection and emergency response to assure compliance with Corporate Standards.
  • Assist site to develop, and meet EHS site & corporate objectives, to improve EHS performance, reduce and minimize spills and incidents, by developing and conducting comprehensive safety and health training, education and inspection programs.
  • Perform incident investigations and participate in the Workers Compensation and Return to Work activities.
  • Provide effective input regarding site EHS concerns, and assure effective communications within sites Tenants, Leadership Team and regional Functional Leaders. Maintain current information and documentation related to site?s EHS compliance, concerns, knowledge systems, and EHS performance
  • Provide Solid & Hazardous Waste Management guidance to site personnel
  • Manage all water & UST compliance activities
  • Manage air and water permits and associated compliance plans
  • Lead air compliance activities, with support from the regional environmental lead as needed
  • Provide support to process safety activities, with assistance from Global EHS as needed
  • Provide EHS emergency response technical expertise
  • Monthly review of Control Units performance data and reporting.
  • Conduct and/or lead inspections of various Safety equipment
  • Incident management, Investigations & Executive Protection; be the site point of contact for Global Security (including the Global Security Operations Centre, New York) for the following aspects:
    • Incidents or crisis events.
    • In support of investigation activity.
    • In support of Executive Protection Planning involving the site.
    • Oversee the implementation of recommendations after site security assessments by Global Security.
  • Vendor management; monitor and manage performance of vendors providing security services at site. For example, security guarding, maintenance of security equipment etc.
  • Facilitate the annual completion of the Site Information Protection Plan (SIPP). This will help assess the status of a site?s information security program. Once the SIPP has been submitted, ISOs will review the results with Global Information Security and develop a plan to make any necessary improvement and communicate that plan to your site leadership.
  • Be an advocate and subject matter expert for handling sensitive information.
  • ISOs serve as a site point of contact for any questions related to how to protect Pfizer information.
  • Attend 1 in-person Global Information Security (GIS) co-sponsored ISO Seminar as well as 3 out of 4 ISO Forums which are virtual general meetings hosted over WebEx. These meetings are important as it is through these training sessions that ISOs receive important updates to policies, programs, priorities, and awareness campaigns.
  • Deliver key information security awareness to colleagues as part of prioritized campaigns established by Global Information Security.
  • Ensure colleagues at facilities are aware of how to report information incidents.
  • Run at least 1 annual information security awareness day to promote good practices regarding trade secret protection, handling sensitive information and acceptable use of Pfizer systems.
  • Conduct at least one annual site-wide clean desk inspection. These inspections may be performed with support from Site Security Officers (SSOs).
  • Report annual completion of annual objectives by entering them on the Objectives Status template and submit to ISO Lead.
  • OpEx Lead
  • Leads site Operational Excellence Program supporting all aspects of product manufacturing and enabling business functions.
  • Creates strategy for development of Operational Excellence as well as future site transformation activities.
  • Leads site efforts focused on significant use of DMAIC and statistical methods to execute continuous improvement projects and improve process robustness.
  • Manages site continuous improvement project portfolio.
  • Integrates shop floor problem-solving through Method 1 techniques, Human Error Reduction Concepts and integration into deviation investigations.
  • Proactively identifies opportunities, solves problems, and implements solutions to improve operational and quality performance.
  • Supports Operational Excellence culture in all levels of the site through advocating appropriate Mindsets and Behaviors, as well as Lean Six Sigma methodology and techniques.
  • Coaches and mentors Yellow Belt, Green Belt, and Black Belt in Training colleagues, as well as Kaizen Event Leaders and Lean Belts.
  • Supports and facilitates Methods 1Training.
  • Supports Process Capability Assessment (PBCpK) teams.
  • Supports innovation and creativity in development of corrective actions and novel solutions.
  • Supports Site Balanced Scorecard, as well as appropriate cascade of metrics to the shop floor.
  • Advocates use of visual dashboards to drive and recognize shop floor performance.
  • Continuously challenge the status quo by encouraging alternate ways of thinking and taking calculated risks.
  • Provides appropriate rewards and recognition to all colleagues to reinforce appropriate behaviors and results.
  • Works in close association with other and interacts with Tunis Leadership Team.

QualificationsMust-Have
  • Engineer or Degree in pharmacy, with 10+ years? experience in pharma Industry
  • Ability to leverage various digital tools to drive performance and process Optimisation, adaptability to digital innovation
  • Systemically identify and resolve complex challenges and provide optimal solutions
  • Able to produce reports from visualization databases and provide inputs for design of improved versions
  • Proven leadership in complex projects
  • Experience in budget management
  • Good understanding of procurement essentials
  • Six Sigma - Black belt
  • Strong leadership and influencing capabilities at all levels of the organization.
  • Proven problem solving and project management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills. Excellent customer, stakeholder & customer relationship management.
  • Good Knowledge of Pfizer Systems
  • Fluent in Arabic, French and English
