Job Description

The purpose of the FM & HSE Site Manager is to provide best-in-class services in term of workspace environment with enhanced quality, efficiency and agility in tertiary sites.To achieve success, it is critical that the HSE & Facility Manager:

  • Manage the SANOFI Facility Management and HSE services and processes to support the core business operations
  • Deploy global Facility Management strategy and policies across in country and ensure best practices are followed for maximum efficiency
  • Is part of the Facility Management organization, which allows all employees to work in an innovative and efficient environment that respects relevant policies in HSE and CSR as well as the economic standards of the Sanofi Group.
  • Define and implement the resources, processes and actions necessary to ensure the safety and health of people as well as environmental protection of the buildings and activities, in compliance with the local regulations and HSE group requirements.
  • Interface and communicate with all levels of stakeholders to ensure right office environment is created at all times
  • Build and develop HSE & Facility Management team and coordinate with necessary vendors to meet organizational needs
  • Promote equity for ?One Sanofi? via standardization and new way of working implementation
  • Monitor the site FM & HSE performance through FM & HSE KPIs and satisfaction surveys in order to enhance health, safety environmental statues, quality of service and level of satisfaction of company employees
  • Be a proactive actor in all HSE related situation and crisis as well as in business continuity planning and implementation,
  • Ensure compliance with the legislation applying to the site as well as Sanofi rules and procedures related to Security, HSE & CSR.
  • Continuously ensure that all services provided are compliant with the level defined in each Global FM Excellence operational standards through regular site tours (or audits).
  • Ensure emergency preparedness of the crisis management committee, and optimize the space utilization in accordance with the Sanofi workplace charter
  • Responsible to be able at any time to close or evacuate safely the site in case of emergency in coordination with Security
  • Manage and control Car Fleet on country level (leasing providers, cars renewals vs. mileage control, technical maintenance, fuel cards and fuel expenses control, etc.) and implement road safety program
  • Maintain and manage relations with local administrative authorities (Mayor, Fire, Police....)
  • Coordinate with key stakeholders and arbitrate key priorities while ensuring the appropriate level of service
  • Ensure that the contractors are managed by principals in compliance with local regulations and sanofi rules on FM and HSE
  • Ensure the implementation of environmental strategy and efficient energy management
  • Implement a process to ensure proper delegation of responsibility in case of absence
2. People Leadership
  • Performance manages the team through setting and reviewing priorities. Provides appropriate and timely feedback about performance and coaches team members to help them achieve their goals
  • Supports the professional and career development of the team by identifying the skills and competencies that employees need for their current and prospective roles and provide opportunities to learn and practice new skills
  • Leads the building of a motivated and engaged team through the use of formal and informal recognition, regular communications and the encouragement of cooperation between individuals and teams
3. Maintain Compliance
  • Abide by the requirements of the internal Code of Ethics including but not restricted to maintaining high professional standards of conduct in line with the Company procedure with a duty of care to the reputation of the Company
4. Ethical Leadership
  • Takes personal accountability to use personal experience and knowledge, as well as the training and tools provided by Sanofi, to maintain a good knowledge and understanding of all ethics and governance relevant to the role (Sanofi Policies and Procedures and any relevant legal requirements) and demonstrate personal leadership in applying these to all work undertaken.
  • Escalates any decisions, or seek the support of colleagues or management if personal knowledge and understanding is not at the level required to carry out any part of the role

  • Support and conform to Company safety rules and procedures to ensure a safe and healthy working environment
  • Report any accident, incident or near miss, whether it be of personal injury or property damage
  • Assist in the investigation of accidents with the objective of introducing measures to prevent recurrence
Thoroughly read all safety documentation issues by the Company and comply with its requirements.
