We offer the experience, the regional and technical know-how of GIZ in the global market and provide international clients with expertise in terms of economic and result-oriented services.Your ProfileQualifications and skills:* A University degree in Engineering, Economics, Law or similar, or master?s degree in renewable energies or another related field (e.g., energy economics, MBA). * Managerial skills. * Fluent in spoken and written English and French and excellent communication and written skills. * Knowledge of Arabic would be an asset.General professional experience:* A minimum of fifteen years of professional experience in advisory activities on policy developments in the energy sector * At least five years? experience in managing a team, preferably in an international context, in the areas of RE or EE.Specific professional experience:* At least five years of experience in supporting sustainable energy policies, renewable energy programmes, electricity market reform, institutional, policy and regulatory or legal issues in the energy sector. * At least two years of management of EU-funded projects in one or more of the beneficiary countries * A track record in managing and developing capacity-building programmes will be an asset. * Previous professional experience on energy policy and regulation in the Southern Mediterranean and EU-Mediterranean energy cooperation will be an asset. * Demonstrated familiarity with green molecules (regarding hydrogen, ammonia, methanol, liquid fuels, etc.) would be an asset. * Professional experience working in renewable energy industries and/or clean energy applications would be an asset. The overall objective of the project of which this contract will be a part is as follows: to support the energy transition in the Southern Neighbourhood countries and contribute to overcoming socioeconomic and climate issues in the region. The specific objective is to create and operate a Mediterranean Green Electrons & Molecules (MED-GEM) Network (the ?Network? in the following sections) in the Southern Neighbourhood region by convening dialogue and collaborative activities between key energy stakeholders, in order to facilitate and promote the growth of the GEM industry at regional level.
