Job Description

Job PurposePlans, and forecast for all short, medium and long term integrity engineering and balance of plant issues and assist the Operations team in getting closer to the operating plant by providing factual evidence on plant condition and failure rates.Provide asset integrity testing for pressure piping, pressure vessels and storage tanks to ensure that all pressure equipment is designed fabricated operated inspected maintained modified and repaired cost effectively to operate with complete pressure integrity.Works on pressure vessels, heat exchangers, tanks. Ensure compliance to equipment laws and regulations established and to international standards.Main Tasks and Accountabilities? Act in a safe manner in the workplace at all times taking immediate action to prevent unsafe behaviours. Inform the local supervisor of the at risk behaviours.? Supervises staff at the level determined by senior management? Ensure conformity to all current regulations, standards and statutory inspections required both during and post construction or modification of units..? Ensures all regular and irregular activities in asset integrity are carried out in accordance with department standing instructions or established procedures or refinery regulations? Conduct professional asset integrity assessments in compliance with API codes.? Develop a testing program based on effective predictive maintenance strategies using industry best practice to ensure optimum reliability availability and integrity of plant and equipment.? Plan and support the maintenance activities.? Supervise all welding jobs performed on site.? Participate in HAZOPS, Tool box talks, equipment criticality workshops, etc.? Gain approval from senior management for the revision and improvement of the Integrity Management Plan.? Provide technical support and recommendations as well as developing work schedules. Reviews all QA/QC/inspection and testing plans documentation from contractors.? Inspect fabrications shops outside of the refinery to ensure that the work is performed on premises qualified to provide fabrication services for the refinery.? Inspect newly purchased items on delivery and on installation to ensure that they conform with the specification issued to the supplier at time of ordering? Coordinates staff schedules and responsibilities for inspection and unit turnarounds together with the shutdown lists. Co-ordinate and manage on-site inspections.? Ensure the pre-defined asset inspection schedule is being met regarding both throughput and quality of work? Conduct an early morning walk around and visual check? Attend the morning meeting for the purpose of trouble shooting and scheduling? Carry out on-stream Inspection ? priorities job ?on stream inspection and produce report.? Conduct off stream inspections utilising ultrasonic visual inspection, hydrostatic tests and mechanical teat.? Perform complex specialist corrosion calculations and simulation of the life of equipment? Maintain database of engineering Changes, and Document Control in Asset management? Identify damage, report immediately to site management team then take corrective measures? Support of Process Engineers with data collection and operational process reporting.? Support problem solving activities from root cause analysis to satisfactory rectification? Liaison and co-ordination with operations and technical teams to deliver performance improvements? Engage with strategic partners on integrity and plant life issues.? Identify technical risks and ensuring that they are mitigated as far as reasonably practicable? Provide integrity input to commercial agreements and contracts to ensure risk are mitigated? Ensure that all asset integrity and testing equipment and tools are maintained in good condition.? Work and support a cohesive work environment, working hand in hand with all stakeholders to meet and achieve the plant operational targets and expectations of the facility.? Undertakes similar or related work as directed by senior management.Working Environment30% outside - work at height from time to time. Works a 12 hour shift.Minimum EducationA degree in Mechanical Engineering or the equivalentLicenses? API Certification for piping inspection? API Certificate pressure vessel inspection? Knowledge of API Codes 650 or equivalent standard.? Certification pressure vesselsWork Experience? At least 6-8 years? experience with professional experience related Refining Operation and Inspections? Detailed understanding of refinery engineering and inspections, components, structures and processes? Effective Communication and reporting skills? Ability to translate technical detail into understood impact? Extensive experience in the use database tools and information storage and retrieval? Fluent in written & verbal English.? Spoken and written Kurdish is an advantageSkills Required? Testing software and analysis tools and equipment operations? MS office? Excel? Good communication skill? Must be physically fitLanguages? Fluent in written & verbal English.? Spoken and written Kurdish is an advantage
