The Field Officer does all but not limited to the following duties and responsibilities:?Plan and implement and make follow up all activities related to strengthening civil society and food security project in accordance with timeline and required quality?Produce TOR and other necessary preparations for the implementation of project activities in coordination with the HoP.?Facilitate the identification of target groups and intervention areas?Facilitate formation and representation of community-based organizations and groups?Keep project management team members updated on changes, events or shocks relevant for the project implementation?Take a leading role in arranging regular meetings with community representatives and local government offices at locality and village levels?Conduct community mobilization, facilitate the dialogue with communities and other relevant stakeholders?Maintain close contact and good working relationships with the target groups and communities?Keep close contact and good working relationships with local authorities and partners?Ensure complaints and feedback mechanism reaches to the target groups and is functioning?Representing Welthungerhilfe, participate in workshops and meetings organized by the governmentand other actors in the target areas?Conduct monitoring, data collection for the analysis and evaluation of the project activities?Collect necessary project data for reporting and monitoring purposes?Keep records (both hard and soft copies) of project activity documents and project plans?Assist and support internal or external consultants for assessments and evaluations?Assist in design, planning and implementation of new project components and project plans?Produce regular project status reports and submits to project management team members in KassalaMinimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required:?University Degree (minimum bachelor s degree) in water engineering, environmental engineering or any related.?At least 5 years of working experience in a similar position with local or International NGO?Solid experience on planning and implementation of WASH activities?Excellent knowledge and skill on construction standards for WASH infrastructures?Excellent skill in manipulation of water scheme design software such as WaterCAD and/or EPANET?Demonstrated experience on community development and institutionalization?Experience on planning and implementation of irrigation activities is an asset?Skill on MS Office (MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint)?English language skills (reading, writing, speaking) is mandatory?Arab language skills (reading, writing, speaking)?Female candidates are highly encouraged to apply
