Job Description

We are looking for SPMT Supervisor, to execute principle practices and techniques involved in the equipment operation, maintenance, repair and overhauling of self-propelled modular transporter in our facility. The responsibility includes but not limited to, supervision, operation and maintenance of self-propelled modular transporters (SPMT), contributing to and reviewing movement plans and executing requirements in a safe and efficient manner.Primary Responsibilities, Authorities & Accountabilities:Ensure compliance with LEL health, safety, Environment and Quality (HSEQ) responsibilities. Effective and consistent interaction with other discipline Supervision and workforce (especially the relevant discipline) around safety related issues. Daily attendances of TBT?s and implement Safe Start, Shields for Life, Take 5 daily is required.Maintain and develop a safe working environment therefore contributing to the overall aims of the company with respect to HSES.Comply with HSES mandatory PPE and safety equipment as per LEL requirement.Self-initiated safety walks. A strong demonstration of follow up and closed out of safety walks action points is required to comment good safety leadership display to the workforce.Identify safety problems on the job site, and institute corrective actions to eliminate any safety problems. Stop work when a problem cannot be resolved without risk of injury.Prepares and conducts safety meetings.Performs administrative duties related to daily attendance records, vacation schedules, overtime assignment reporting.Coordinate and supervise SPMT operators on all SPMT activities.Assemble, disassemble, set and configure (mechanically and electronically), operate the SPMT (Scheuerle, Kamag) in any configuration and in any cargo type / weight in a safe and efficient mannerEfficiently and safely carry out loading and offloading. This could include lifting, installing, rigging and weighing large heavy loads for many different projects Ensure ALL pre use check lists are completed and actioned where required.Operate the SPMT on public roads / areas, private yards, on ground, on floating vessel and during load out / load in operations Report to the Load out and Transportation Manager/Operations Superintendent and follows instructions accordingly.Performs the work in compliance with the applicable safety rules Check and maintain the efficiency of the SPMT, execute regular maintenance, and execute problem shooting Responsible for the daily and weekly control and maintenance of the SPMT Conduct pre-job meetings and safety meetings.Will evaluate the need for SPMT move deviations during operations.Notify Load out Engineer/Supervising 3rd Party/Load out and Transportation Manager of any deviation to the planned work scope/move.Communicate deviation requirements to the SPMT operators by a recorded TBT,Perform and check rigging and lashing done on the SPMT and the load, to ensure that the move can be performed safely for personnel, load and equipment.Supervise the SPMT operators during jacking, pumping, carriage, winch and work before, during and after movement;Read and understand engineering drawings/sketches and will ensure that loads, loading methods, load securing, and load transport comply with plan.Execute planned disassembly of SPMT?s following operation and prepare SPMT?s for transport and/or for the next scheduled lift or move.Read and understand hydraulic and electrical schematics.Adjust trailers to ensure even distribution of weight across all axles, even over rough terrain.Will serve as a trainer for other Lamprell personnel, permanently or temporarily assigned to the department.Other duties as assigned by Load out and Transportation Manager and or Operations SuperintendentKey Performance Indicator :Execute work safely with zero incident or accidentComplete assigned work efficiently and within allocated timeTrain personnel.Perform Take 5s and conduct TBT?sSubmit SOAP cardsRole Specific Competencies:Able to read schematic system drawings. Knowledge in Installation, dismantling and overhauling of SPMT?s.Must have mechanical, hydraulic and electronic basic knowledgeYou are able to properly understand all the technical and engineering documents relevant to SPMT?s and transport operations.Knowledge of rigging and lashing and is able to perform rigging responsibilities.Able to communicate orally in English with confidenceAble to work under pressure.Able to work well in a team and effectively convey relevant informationHave a good depth perception and overall view.Follow OEM instructions & maintenance techniquesPrepare clear and concise reports.Operate office equipment computersAt least 5 years experience with heavy transport using SPMT?s.Preferably a second degree, with proven interest in mechanics
