? To lead, develop and oversee the management of the entire Computing Department? Provides support and mentoring to all IT personnel? Determining opportunities for improvement of current IT systems, and assessing future IT needs by consulting with people at all levels of the organization? Responsible for the overall Strategic plan, direction and management of the organization?s IT infrastructure.? Ensuring the IT strategy meets the growth and business strategy of the organization? Being a member of the organization?s executive team and being involved in the strategic business planning? Providing advice to other senior managers and boards on IT issues and planning.? Responsible for the review of resource adequacy feedback (RAF) & Institutional Effectiveness (IE) tools.? Preparation of Department budget in coordination with Head ? Finance.? Preparation and allocation of year end closing report of the Department ? Preparation and submission of next Academic Year Planning.? Plan and Development of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP).? Development of the Department Policy and Procedure as per Ministry of Higher Education requirement.? To ensure that the following are planned and managed as per the requirement? Hardware, software & networking ? Security system (Firewall, Antivirus), LAN/WAN Wireless LAN/VPN performance and IT security of the University building.? Microsoft SharePoint (Calendar Management System, Database Management System, Portal, Website, FAQs & Knowledge Updates.? To regularly upgrade existing IT resources for meeting the future requirements on year-to-year basis as per RAF. ? To assess adequacy of hardware and software requirement in terms of quantity and quality for labs & classroom, as well as for Academic Support Services.? To conduct CRDC meetings (Computing Resource Development Committee) and prepare quarterly reports? Procurement of IT equipment?s, stock auditing and reports ? To encourage and suggest cost cutting measures in utilization of various IT resources
