Jobs at this level are responsible to supervise specialist work activities within Treasury sections pertaining to cash management, debt management, insurance or investments. Also, they are responsible for setting financial goals for their unit and reporting on results against plans.Treasury:? Use the results of the cash flow analysis conducted to tie it with business requirements in predicting future cash needs.? Supervise work activities within the assigned treasury specialization (such as cash management, banking relationships and facilities, foreign exchange exposure, insurance or portfolio management) to ensure efficient execution and achievement of financial targets.? Study best practices in treasury management and recommends relevant practices for implementation to the reporting senior.? Document the revelations taken by STC including assessing financial risks associated with Interest, FX, Counterparty, liquidity and cash investments.? Ensure data collation on the current and past performance of the hedge positions taken by STC. Investment:? Supervise portfolio allocation levels to ensure alignment with asset management and risk strategies.? Contribute in developing portfolio strategy and advises on the core and non-core financial investments that could be made.? Provide recommendations that could help in executing investment decisions.? Ensure that the investment activities are within the existing regulatory, audit and compliance framework(s).? Ensure cash flow analyses to tie in with existing and future business requirements to help predict future cash needs.? Contribute in the development of financial modeling interfaces with the IT sector to increase efficiencies of financial processes. Generic Role:? Coordinate across a number of work units within the specified area of work, to ensure efficient work flows and accurate outputs.? Manage projects and initiatives, as may be required by the reporting senior.? Monitor performance of the assigned work unit against pre - defined targets to ensure the optimal achievement of goals.? Participate in IT systems implementation with the IT Sector to ensure maximum benefits through optimization of the technological processes.? Develop and supervises the respective team members, if needed, for undertaking higher responsibilities.
