Job Description

About this role:

  • Preparing deformation calculations, tooling and temperatures required for hot seamless steel pipe rolling. considering requirements & limitations of torque, forces. dimensional tolerances
  • Prepare tooling calculations considering hot deformations required to achieve final hot finished pipe dimensions
  • Preparing process specifications for auxiliary equipment s like deoxidation powder spraying, mandrel graphite coating etc
  • Standardize hot rolling parameters for various products/specifications
  • Improve hot rolling processes and methods for Cost reduction, Quality & productivity improvement, and efficiency
  • Actively involved in developing and establishing hot rolling process for new Products/Specifications
  • Train and mentor Hot Rolling personnel regarding the use and operation of equipment according to manufacturer safety standards and the fundamental principles of seamless pipe hot rolling
  • Provide technical support for existing equipment and processes with focus on hot seamless pipe rolling
  • Provide Manufacturing and/or technical knowledge and skills to support JESCO business processes that allow JESCO to meet business goals
  • Develop and mentor Technology and Manufacturing (as individuals or as a group) through the execution of projects and/or the Technology Work Processes
  • Actively involved with the regular checking of equipment and perform routine and preventive maintenance tasks, and calibrations.
What you need to bring:
  • Bachelors degree in Engineering - Mechanical/Metallurgy or equivalent
  • Minimum 6 years Experience in working in manufacturing of hot finished seamless steel pipes with modern technologies like cross piercing, Quality Finishing Mill. Sizing Mill
  • Should be familiar with API SCT & SL.
