RESPONSIBILITIES:Undertakes Civil, Structural / Mechanical / Piping / Electrical / Instrument / Static / Rotating / Welding / Painting and Insulation inspection. ? Prepares inspection reports outlining specific recommendations and liaises with maintenance engineers and field supervisors regarding their implementations. ? Good knowledge of international codes and standards regarding Petrochemical Plant. ? Good knowledge of QA/QC techniques ? Monitors heat treatment of piping, vessels, and equipment. ? Witnesses?? hydrostatic and/or pneumatic tests on static equipment. ? Performs welder performance and welding procedure qualification records review. ? Monitor all aspects of welding operation on new or existing equipment. ? Evaluates equipment for fitness for service based on API 510 criteria. ? Assists Risk Based Inspection Assessments by providing required data. ? Performs applicable duties required of an Inspector within the assigned inspection discipline and certification limitations. ? Trains personnel to develop technical ability and understanding of applicable codes, standards, inspection methods in various disciplines and NDT methods. ? Prepares inspection reports, pre & post T&I reports, worksheets, non compliance reports and makes logbook entries f on-site inspection findings, as appropriate ensuring that all hard copy and electronic databases are initiated and maintainedCompetencies: ? Knowledge of recognized and generally accepted good engineering practice, regulations and codes. ? Knowledge of root cause failure analysis techniques, inspection techniques (x-ray, NDT, etc.) corrosion, cathodic protection, etc. ? Excellent analytical and computer skills ? Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
