DescriptionSupport TechnicianGrade: 8Location: Dhahran, Saudi ArabiaJOB PURPOSE BAE Systems is the UK Government?s nominated Prime Contractor under the Government-to-Government arrangements that are in place to provide equipment, support and training to Saudi Arabia. We provide maintenance of Royal Saudi Air Force aircraft and train RSAF personnel safely in a training environment in how to use their aircraft, equipment and weapons.BAE Systems Saudi Arabia is committed to supporting the Saudi Arabian National Agenda including Saudisation and the training and development of Saudi National capability through the growth of the Saudi National Partner Companies thereby reinforcing Industrialisation and Partnerships.JOB ACCOUNTABILITIESThe Support Technician is responsible to the AGF Flight Commander/Advisor for theEfficient and effective management of resources including training of assigned RSAFPersonnel. He is also responsible to the Advisor to the MSC for best practice and a duty of care of BAE personnel assigned to his department.The specific duties of the Support Technician include, but are not limited to:

  • Carry Out all Support functions including Material Control, Tool Crib, Library, Aircraft None Powered Servicing Equipment (NPSE) and 780 Equipment Section.
  • Assist the Production Superintendent requests for Support Equipment.
  • Remove Unserviceable equipment for repair or calibration as required.
  • Maintain all NPSE by carrying out daily inspections and repairs as required.
  • Support the AGF Flying and Maintenance requirements.
  • Compile reports on aircraft equipment as required by the AGF Flt Commander/Advisor.
  • Act as a counterpart trainer, when required for any assigned RSAF personnel.
RECRUITMENT SPECIFICATION
  • Will be a graduate of a military school or Equivalent.
  • Will have a minimum of five years? experience on Tornado aircraft.
  • Will have a minimum of two years in-kingdom supervisory experience with BAE Systems.
  • Must have a thorough knowledge of RSAF procedures, directives and manuals.
  • Must be computer literate and have a sound knowledge of the Microsoft office suite.
  • Must be conversant with Miro Gold procedures.
  • Must have a comprehensive working knowledge of company HR and SHE policies and
