OVERALL JOB PURPOSE:Providing technical leadership in a particular mining discipline or function (e.g. blasting, roof bolting, etc), with strict adherence to safety and operational regulations, rules and procedures3. HSE targets* Control machines and processes and provide guidance and advice to other miners* Provide input, advice and recommendations to management and engineering colleagues to resolve problems and optimise mining operations* Analyse and interpret information (in consultation with Technician/Engineer) and evaluating results to choose the best solution and solve problems* Oversee specific mining process and review information from materials, events, or the environment, to detect or assess evidence of operating problems* Identifying information by categorising, estimating, recognising differences or similarities, and detecting changes in circumstances or events* Inspect and oversee inspection of equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects* Advice on and move control settings to start, stop or make necessary adjustments on machinery and equipment units affecting to optimise quality/productivity* Oversee transportation and storage of flammable and other potentially dangerous products to ensure that safety guidelines are followed* Monitor recording instruments, control panel lights, gauges, dials or other indicators and listen for warning signals to verify conformity of operating conditions* Record, review, and compile applicable records, test results, and gauge readings such as temperatures, pressures, concentrations, and flows* Regulate or shut down equipment during emergency situations following protocol* Contribute ensuring compliance to HSERQ requirements* Perform standby duty* Active member of (special) projects teamsLeadership1.
