  • Control machines and processes and provide guidance and advice to other miners
  • Provide input, advice and recommendations to management and engineering colleagues to resolve problems and optimize mining operations
  • Analyze and interpret information (in consultation with Technician/Engineer) and evaluating results to choose the best solution and solve problems
  • Oversee specific mining process and review information from materials, events, or the environment, to detect or assess evidence of operating problems
  • Identifying information by categorizing, estimating, recognizing differences or similarities, and detecting changes in circumstances or events
  • Inspect and oversee inspection of equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects
  • Advice on and move control settings to start, stop or make necessary adjustments on machinery and equipment units affecting to optimize quality/productivity
  • Oversee transportation and storage of flammable and other potentially dangerous products to ensure that safety guidelines are followed
  • Monitor recording instruments, control panel lights, gauges, dials or other indicators and listen for warning signals to verify conformity of operating conditions
  • Record, review, and compile applicable records, test results, and gauge readings such as temperatures, pressures, concentrations, and flows
  • Regulate or shut down equipment during emergency situations following protocol
  • Contribute ensuring compliance to HSERQ requirements
  • Perform standby duty
