SummaryResponsible for planning and designing structural systems and preparing drawings for Hospital-wide projects.Essential Responsibilities and Duties1.Communicates with Hospital Departments at various levels to discuss and identify needs and requirements.2.Designs structures to meet structural load requirements by performing structural analysis and computing sized, shape and strength.3.Conducts onsite inspections of work in progress to ensure compliance with all recognized standards & contract specifications.4.Provides design and drafting services of structural systems.5.Estimates work load, analyses suitable configurations of the basic structural components of a building or other structures.6.Liaises with other designers, including architects, to reach agreement about safe design and how they may fit in with the aesthetic concept of the construction.7.Performs fieldwork and verifies measurements of existing sites during design stage.8.Writes technical specifications and Bill of Quantities and reviews change orders.9.Supervises on-site construction for compliance with the contracts technical specifications and inspects completed works.10.Performs progress monitoring and quality assurance reviews.11.Reviews, recommends modifications and approval of contractors submittals, shop drawings, product data and samples.12.Assists in resolving complex technical problems and coordinates problem resolution.EducationMasters or Bachelors Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering is required. Experience RequiredThree (3) years of related experience with Masters or five (5) years with Bachelors Degree in preparation of structural design and contract documents required. Other Requirements(Certificates).Skilled in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, Primavera and/or Microsoft Projects. .knowledge of codes, standards and structural software in a large health care facility setting construction of a large Civil Engineering Projects..Fluent in oral and written English..Non-Saudi Engineers must obtain minimum of five (5) years of related experience..Saudi Council of Engineers license is required.
