and QualificationsSummary/Overview:The Senior Plant Data IT Applications Analyst position is responsible for requirements definition, application analysis and functional design of new solutions and enhancements. A critical component of this role is to effectively work with the Air Products Operational Excellence business areas so that new/enhanced functionality and application changes can be implemented effectively. Another key responsibility of this position will be product and lifecycle management for applications supporting Plant Operations, Historians, Optimization and Manufacturing.Essential functions of the role:

  • Provide operational support for Plant Performance Monitoring Applications supporting the plant optimization processes
  • Assist in support of IT sponsored application integration, change management, incident management and problem resolution, meeting the objectives of manufacturing while minimizing lost production due to IT related issues
  • Support Plant Data IT systems interfaces with other systems
  • Responsible to deliver and maintain existing services, resolve incidents and problem management
  • Provide application configuration when needed
  • Ability to understand and elicit business requirements for application enhancements/upgrades
Skills and Experience
  • 5+ years of IT Business or Functional experience with applications supporting Plant Operations and Optimization
  • Strong understanding of Plant and Operations and Manufacturing Business processes
  • Bachelor?s degree or related experience required
  • Working Knowledge of custom software development tools including full development lifecycle (C# or Java, Visual Studio, HTML, JAVASCRIPT, JQUERY, SOAP, REST API, JSON, Angular, Amazon Web Services)
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate appropriately at all levels of the organization; this includes written and verbal communications
  • Good understanding of enterprise architecture, project management principles, change release processes as well as security and compliance
