The Sonographer is responsible for performing diagnostic ultrasound examinations to assist physicians in diagnosing and monitoring a variety of medical conditions. This role involves operating ultrasound equipment, capturing clear images of internal body structures, and ensuring patient safety and comfort during procedures.Key Responsibilities:Perform ultrasound scans on patients as requested by physiciansOperate and maintain ultrasound equipment to ensure optimal performancePrepare patients for procedures and explain the imaging process clearlyCapture high-quality images of internal organs, tissues, and blood flowEvaluate the quality of images and ensure they meet diagnostic standardsDocument findings and assist radiologists or doctors in reviewing resultsMaintain accurate patient records and follow hospital/clinic protocolsEnsure compliance with health and safety standards, including infection controlMonitor equipment for functionality and arrange servicing when necessaryProvide emotional support and reassurance to patients during proceduresQualifications & Experience:Diploma or Degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or Ultrasound TechnologyValid certification or licensure (e.g., ARDMS, DMS, or national equivalent)Proficiency in general, obstetric, abdominal, and/or vascular ultrasound (as applicable)Strong understanding of human anatomy and medical terminology
