SOC L3 Analyst

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced SOC Level 3 Analyst with expertise in Malware Analysis and Digital Forensics and Incident Response (DFIR). As a key member of our cybersecurity team, you will be responsible for detecting, investigating, and responding to complex security incidents. Your role will involve analyzing malware and conducting digital forensics to ensure the protection of our organizations digital assets.Responsibilities:Incident Response and Investigation:

• Lead investigations into advanced security incidents, such as malware outbreaks and network intrusions.
• Use advanced security tools and threat intelligence to identify indicators of compromise (IOCs) and attacker techniques.
• Collaborate with teams to identify the root cause of incidents and develop effective remediation strategies.

Malware Analysis and Threat Hunting:

• Proactively hunt for potential security threats and vulnerabilities using advanced tools and intelligence sources.
• Stay updated on the latest malware threats, vulnerabilities, and attack techniques to strengthen our defenses.
• Contribute to enhancing our threat detection capabilities through the development of effective detection mechanisms.

Digital Forensics and Incident Response (DFIR):

• Manage and coordinate the response to security incidents, ensuring swift containment and recovery.
• Prepare detailed incident reports with root cause analysis and recommended preventive measures.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including incident response vendors and law enforcement agencies, as required.

Team Support and Mentorship:

• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior SOC analysts to enhance their skills and knowledge.
• Conduct training sessions and workshops to improve the overall capabilities of the SOC team.
• Work with SOC management to refine processes, workflows, and technologies.

Security Tools and Technology:

• Utilize various security technologies and tools, including SIEM, to monitor and analyze security events.
• Apply specialized tools for malware analysis and digital forensics to investigate incidents.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies and recommend improvements to enhance our security posture.

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a SOC Level 3 Analyst with expertise in Malware Analysis and DFIR.
• Strong knowledge of incident response methodologies and tools.
• Familiarity with advanced security technologies and tools, including SIEM.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and reporting abilities
