Job Description

SummaryPerforms wide variety of tasks involving healthcare information technology to help achieving Organizations mission and goal. Provides technical assistance in reviewing and evaluating contract(s) related to HITA projects.Essential Responsibilities and Duties

  1. Performs wide variety of tasks involving healthcare information technology to help achieving organizations mission and goal.
  2. Participates in the formulation, development, implementation and maintenance of Information Management Strategy.
  3. Participates in design, reviews of application systems to assess impacts, and recommends best practiced solution.
  4. Reviews, evaluates, and recommends cost effective solutions to business issues.
  5. Initiates and maintains liaison with vendors as assigned for special projects including Request for Information (RFI), Request for Proposal (RFP), and follow up.
  6. Participates in the evaluation and selection process for deployment of emerging information technology.
  7. Provides technical consultancy to Chief Information Officer and the Deputy Chief Information Officer for the planning, development, and implementation of special projects.
  8. Reviews existing and newly integrated business application systems, including recommendation for functional enhancements to add business value on demand basis.
  9. Provides technical assistance in reviewing and evaluating contract(s) related to HITA projects.
  10. Provides communication expertise (oral and written) in critical situations with various stakeholders within the Hospital.
EducationPhDs, Masters, or Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related discipline is required.OR: PhDs or Masters Degree in Business/Hospital Administration or other related discipline with Bachelors Degree in IT related discipline is required.Experience RequiredEight (8) years of IT experience including five (5) years of experience in consultancy/managerial capacity with PhDs, eleven (11) years with Masters Degree, or thirteen (13) years with Bachelors Degree is required.Other Requirements(Certificates)N/A.
