Senior service engineer - Reliability & Vibration

Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTIONTo provide engineering support for Emerson products and services including maintenance services, diagnostics, installation and commissioning, start-up, problem resolution, and project execution.Perform as a focal point for customer technical support including service contracts, projects, and technical solutions. Advise customers on preventative maintenance and configuration adjustments to improve product performance and customer satisfaction.Responsible for coordination of Emerson personnel and service activities to ensure the delivery of the results expected by the customer.Your role responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following:

• Machinery fault diagnosis using vibration analysis, oil analysis, ultrasound, and thermography
• Develop the process and procedures for the condition monitoring programs to be the comprehensive guide for the plants.
• Carry out vibration analysis on rotating equipment at customer sites (i.e. pumps, compressor, turbine, etc.), experience in the use of vibration monitoring systems using diagnostic software, experience in the use of vibration monitoring systems using various diagnostic software.
• Coordination and guidance to site people for data collection
• Optimize the monitoring program based on the criticality of the equipment at the plants.
• Perform alignment & balancing of rotating equipment at customer sites.
• Vibration analysis for turbine machinery equipment, compressors, fans and motorsetc.
• Technical report writing for all condition minoring technologies & ensures that report is clearly specifying recommended corrective actions and timeline for the corrective actions
• Providing Install, Implement & Incorporate services for machinery health management portable devices such as AMS2140, AMS TREX and AMS2600 at customer locations.
• Install services include establishing asset names, measurement locations, Install and license software, database creation & validation, analysis parameters & alert setting, user trainings, baseline data establishment and analysis.
• Implement services include holding awareness trainings at customer sites to gain user alignment, establishing benchmark KPIs, evaluation of related work flow processes, reengineer maintenance tasks to utilize portables, optimization of AMS machinery manager database and alerts.
• Incorporate services include loading reengineered maintenance tasks in enterprise asset management system, mentoring & coaching to adopt maintenance tasks as standard operation procedures in CMMS, facilitate change management,
• Collection and analysis of condition monitoring data such as vibration using portables.
• Conducting customer trainings related to portables & other MHM equipment.
• Generating timely detailed survey reports from analyzed condition monitoring data of rotating and other equipment to accurately pinpoint faults and machinery health. Writing actionable recommendations in the reports.
• Equipment troubleshooting at client sites.
• Using software tools such as AMS machinery manager efficiently for the assignments.
• Using techniques such as multichannel, phase analysis and Peakvue.
• Using advanced functions of AMS2140 & AMM2600 such as transient and advanced cross channel function for assignments.
• Performing other assigned duties related to projects and services for asset optimization and machinery health management operations such as online (AMS6500, AMS6500ATG protection/prediction) and wireless projects, services.
• Exhibit high technical skills to interface with 3rd party systems using industry standard protocols like Modbus, OPC, Serial etc.,
• Participate in reliability consulting implementations (Site surveys, Critically analysis, FMECA, task list development and Root cause analysis)
• Proper time management and timesheets reporting.
• Staying current with development in the field of asset optimization and machinery health management.
• Communicating with other colleagues, management clearly and efficiently.
• Performing duties in safe manner in line with client and Emerson safety rules and regulations.
• Preparation of method statements
• Perform Task risk assessment and Job safety analysis
• Contribute to work estimates for proposals
• Tender vet proposals for projects
• Performing tasks in line with SYS quality management system.
• Adherence to Emerson ethics policy.
• Maintaining excellent customer relationships.
• Travelling for work to customer sites in MEA region and other business-related travel (Peak expected travel up to 75%).

• Engineering degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or Electromechanical Engineering
• Minimum 07 years of experience in related field
• Skills and qualifications related to duties and responsibilities
• Excellent computer literacy
• System networking skills
• Holding a minimum of Level 3 Vibration Analysis certification,
• Thermography, Oil Analysis & Ultrasound Level 1 certifications
• Other certifications related to condition monitoring or reliability will be plus point
• Good Communication Skills
• He/she is required to be fully proficient in English.
• In-depth knowledge and experience of automation and control systems in process industries, typically with 3-5 years experience in reliability vibration systems
• CAT1, 2, 3 & 4 certification is a plus.
