Job Summary:As a Senior Port Captain, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of port operations, ensuring compliance with maritime laws and regulations, and managing a team of port staff to ensure smooth and efficient port operations.Job Responsibility:- Manage and coordinate all activities related to port operations such as vessel traffic, cargo handling, and port security.- Ensure compliance with local and international maritime laws and regulations.- Supervise and train port staff to maintain high standards of performance and safety.- Coordinate with shipping agents, port authorities, and other stakeholders to ensure efficient port operations.- Monitor and assess port facilities and equipment to ensure they meet safety standards and operational requirements.- Prepare reports on port activities, budgets, and performance metrics for senior management.Candidate Requirements:- Bachelors degree in Maritime Studies, Logistics, or a related field.- Proven experience working in port operations, with at least X years in a leadership role.- In-depth knowledge of maritime laws, regulations, and port operations.- Strong leadership and communication skills.- Ability to work under pressure and make decisions quickly.- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
