Major Responsibilities:Sr. Mechanical Design Engineer, Pipeline conducts reviews of mechanical systems designs and engineering studies prepared by local and international engineering firms for mechanical piping infra. developments of chilled water cooling, sea water cooling, oil & gas, etc. as well as contributing to a compliance inspection program of the Royal Commission Pipeline CorridorProvide guidance and ensure engineering quality design and compliance with client requirements, local design guidelines, local codes, international codes and international standards of independent engineering firms that are carrying out the detailed engineering design.Participate in scheduled compliance inspections of industrial pipelines within the Royal Commission Pipeline CorridorParticipate in technical inspections of emergency incidents involving industrial pipelines within the Royal Commission Pipeline Corridor.Perform general activities such as preparation of studies, reports and bid packages related to pipeline corridors and associated work.Manage space and allocate the ROW (Right of Way) in the pipeline corridor.Represent the client in technical meetings and Value Engineering analysisReview contractors shop drawings, technical queries and technical submittals to ensure compliance with design documents.Review proposed site/land allocation requests for new and existing industries expansion for compliance with Royal Commission Master Plan and availability of support utilities.Conduct timely quality reviews on design submissions received from Architect/Engineering (A/E) firms.Represent client’s Engineering department and facilitate inter-departmental industrial coordination within RC.Review Industry submittals design packages, Technical Queries and Submittals (TQ & TS), in line with Bechtel & RC procedures.Coordinate and visit jobsite as required, to resolve problems, interpret drawings and documents and provide technical support during the construction phase.Education and Experience Requirements:University graduate with B.S in Mechanical / Production Engineering or related.8 to 10 years overall Mechanical Engineering experience with at least 5 years of relevant experience in the design of mechanical pipeline systems, valves, pipeline supports for petrochemical and utility pipelines.Experience in the Industrial coordination, field construction support activities.Working knowledge of industry/ regulatory codes and standards (ASME, AWWA, API, NFPA); and design criteria pertinent to the particular discipline.Must be able to demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Provide support to the creation of a work environment that fosters openness, trust, communication, teamwork, empowerment, innovation, and satisfaction.Ability to work within a culturally diverse organization, recognizing and respecting differences.Ability to mentor young engineers.Required Knowledge and Skills:Professional/Chartered Engineer preferred.Experience in the piping/pipeline design or plant layout.Experience in field construction and/or operation of heavy industrial plants, petrochemical plants or refineries.Experience in quality reviews of design submissions in accordance with engineering procedures and instructions.Capable of reading and understanding design drawings, vendor design packages, specifications and applying industry standard best practice on construction projectsFamiliar with pipeline corridors, crossover structures and temporary works design.Familiar with latest leak detection techniques for petrochemical pipelines.Familiar with the fire-protection system design for petrochemical pipelines.Familiar with NDT procedures and welding inspection of pipelines.Shall demonstrate familiarity with industry standards for design, installation, maintenance and inspection of petrochemical pipelines.Working knowledge of computer applications to monitor CAD Designers and be able to input data in the database management systems of the Pipeline CorridorsSelf-motivated individual with good leadership skills, experience and the ability to influence without authority.Ability to work within an integrated team and capable to plan and deliver in challenging situations.You will be redirected to the company website to apply for this position
