With an unwavering commitment to innovation, we reshape and enhance leading cutting-edge technologies from around the world into seamlessly integrated daily services for diverse regions.Our mission is to bridge the gap between leading world innovations and local communities, fostering connections and enhancing everyday living experiences.YangoPlay is currently seeking a dynamic Senior Legal Counsel who will oversee our high-tech products, B2C online services, and other projects in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.Tasks that await you:

  • Serve as a Senior Legal Counsel managing a variety of legal business matters, organizing and advising on appropriate legal action such as regulatory initiatives in the area of online services (search engine, apps, educational services, media, etc.), intermediate liability, intellectual property, privacy and data protection regulation, as well as communicating with KSA regulatory authorities.
  • Apply relevant expertise in practical areas such as complex companys service transactions, compliance, and regulatory matters, and provide practical legal risk mitigation strategies for companys products across KSA jurisdiction.
  • Advise on legal matters regarding work of companys online services, their core features, IP and privacy issues, litigation and arbitration, while also coordinating legal tasks handled by outside counsel.
  • Draft clear and concise terms and conditions, terms of use, and policies for services of the companies in the Yango group.
  • Monitor and analyze current high-tech policy proposals to develop and execute strategy.
  • Manage outside counseling on complex research issues.
We expect that you demonstrate:
  • Law degree from a KSA university;
  • 5 years of relevant experience (preferred a top-tier law firm, government agency and/or in-house legal department;
  • Fluency in Arabic and English;
  • Permanent residence in the KSA;
  • Solid risk assessment skills;
  • Strong competence and confidence to influence, persuade, communicate, and negotiate;
  • Additional experience on litigating legal matters, preferably disputes involving tech-industry.
  • Managing relationships with outside counsel;
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize and multitask.
It would be a plus to have:
  • Experience working with an IT company,
  • LLM degree,
  • Experience working independently and cross-functionally,
  • Fluency in Russian.
