Job Purpose:To ensure the systematic implementation of Reliability Engineering principles, techniques and tools on all electrical equipment at SATORP and the development of reliability strategies and plans.Scope:Assist in managing electrical systems maintenance budget and contracts in all areas of the Refinery to maintain high reliability and contribute to the integrity and security of the power system network and substations. Ensure that electrical equipment and systems are operating properly and in accordance with SATORP specifications.MAIN ACTIVITIESDuties and Responsibilities:1.Assist in improving electrical equipment reliability and availability through the implementation of Reliability Engineering principles, techniques and tools, such as Risk Based Maintenance (RBM) and Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA).2.Communicate with other Maintenance Divisions and the Operations Department in SATORP to develop and maintain electrical equipment maintenance and reliability strategies.3.Provide technical expertise for electrical equipment maintenance activities, standards and procedures. Assist in developing Predictive and Preventative Maintenance plans and procedures for all electrical equipment.4.Develop renovation plans for obsolescence; maintain high performance levels for Electrical Systems.5.Provide technical assistance and trouble-shooting support for all electrical equipment.6.Coordinate with the Maintenance Divisions to assist in determining and predicting electrical equipment components’ life using appropriate reliability tools, such as Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Mean time between failures (MTBF) and Mean Time To Failure (MTTF), to ensure extended operating life of electrical equipment.7.Facilitate investigations into electrical equipment failures or incidents to identify root causes. Produce written reports documenting the failure, cause and preferred solution by which similar failures or incidents are prevented.8.Provide technical advice when required with regards to searching for and preparing new electrical equipment proposals, and review equipment specifications, documents and drawings.9.Establish and audit backup and recovery procedures for Electrical system and related equipment.10.Train Electrical Technicians on general knowledge of electrical systems and awareness of safe working practices.11.Review and establish safe working practices and procedures for working on Electrical Systems.12.Ensure full compliance with health and safety and environmental policies and regulations at all times.13.Help design plant modifications of a technical nature with the Electrical System.14.Maintain and audit an inventory of electrical systems equipment. Ensure Electrical System spares are established and maintained.15.Perform other related duties as assigned by the Senior Electrical Engineer.Expected Results:Electrical equipment and machinery are properly operating, applicable maintenance strategies and procedures are in place and followed, and incidents are appropriately investigated in accordance with SATORP policies.Education Background:Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.Experience:Six (6) years of experience in Refinery Electrical Equipment Reliability Management, of which at least Two (2) years in a similar position.You will be redirected to the company website to apply for this position
