Job Description

Senior Contracts Specialist: The Senior Contracts Specialist (SCS) shall support all contracting efforts. SCS shall obtain quality products for competitive prices in a timely fashion to ensure pend owners to maximize the value and profitable operation. SCS has the responsibility for ensuring the code of ethics following policy, procedures and applicable local regulations. SCS shall also demonstrate integrity, accountability, communication skills and commitment to teamwork.The SCS is expected to be accountable for the following areas:

  • Exercise a strong sense of urgency to maintain high personal performance while making decisions and allocating resources in a cost-efficient manner.
  • Support contracting staff, train, counsel and advise staff taking corrective action as needed.
  • Institute and make recommendations on policies and procedures for collecting and reporting key metrics that will reduce our overall expenses to ensure increasing productivity and successful compliances of all contracting related activities.
  • Monitor business trends and service availability to pay the best price for services without sacrificing quality or delivery times.
  • Evaluating, negotiating and executing various contracts covering a range of transactions.
  • Conduct the procurement process and assure evaluation of proposals in accordance with procedures while selecting the best supplier.
  • Monitoring contracts and moving forward with close-out, extension or renewal of contracts.
  • Maintaining correspondence and documentation related to contracts.
Experience: At least 10 years of relevant experience in a contract management role. License / Certification / Accreditation: One of the below certificates is preferable:
  • Certified Commercial Manager (CCCM) designation through the National Contracts Management Association.
  • Certified Professional Contracts Manager (CPCM) designation through the National Contracts Management Association.
  • Contract & Commercial Management (CCM) designation through the World Commerce & Contracting Association.
Competencies (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities): To perform this job successfully, and individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.
  • Broad knowledge of supply chain.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work efficiently.
  • Ability to listen, communicate (written and verbal), and follow-up effectively with all staffing levels and clients / customers.
  • Ability to work independently, be a self-starter, andenergetically approach tasks assigned.
  • Ability to demonstrate good common sense and sound judgment.
  • Ability to perform at high levels in a changing work environment.
