SUMMARY OF RESPONSILITIES:˙The Senior Construction Engineer will be assigned to Bechtel?s project field operations and will be responsible for˙construction ensuring contractor?s performance are in compliance with project ES&H, Quality, schedule requirements, whilst maintaining effective relationships when interfacing with stakeholders and general public.˙˙This position˙is for the Coastal Dessert East area of The Line project.ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
Responsible for Bechtel EPM consultancy services
Responsible for construction oversight and compliance of Contractor?s works are carried out as per the drawings, specifications, and standards, as per schedule and ensures compliance to ES&H plans, quality standards, and local/national regulatory safety codes
Review and comment the contractors submittals, technical queries, field change documents and other technical documents including Drawings and As-Builts
Support and guide contractor to achieve the safety, quality, and schedule requirements
Maintain a zero-accident policy on site with the contractor, participate in the clients ES&H programs and conduct joint safety inspections with Contractor?s senior staff
Monitors and escalates quality, safety, progress and coordination issues and concerns
Ensures required permits and licenses are in place prior to the start of works at site
Follow and ensure projections and schedules for resources, material, and equipment requirements to ensures continuous construction work fronts availability
Reviews of Design Drawings, Vendor Drawings, Shop Drawings, and installation sequences
Reviews contractors NCRs, RFIs, FCRs, or other change documents and its effective implementation
Coordinates and monitors interfaces between other contractors on the project and stakeholder management
Ensures that RFI responses and Field Change requests etc. are correctly implemented in the Field
Reviews all material testing results and ensures compliance to Design specifications and standards
Provide guidance and technical advice to the construction engineers, contractors and monitor their performance
Attend daily/ weekly coordination and progress meetings with the contractor
Ensures that all required reporting, including daily reports are collated, reviewed, and submitted within defined timelines
