SummaryAssists the Head of Audiology in supervising the activities of the Audiology Clinic in addition to performing hearing evaluations of infant, children and adult patients either in hospital or on an outpatient basis.Essential Responsibilities and Duties2.Performs routine tests to include pure tone, speech, tympanometry and impedance testing. Also, undertakes video nystagmography (VNG) and performs auditory brainstem evoked response (ABR) testing.3.Performs Hearing Aid Evaluations (HAE) and prescribes hearing aids to adults and children.4.Makes necessary recommendations and referrals for patients and provides appropriate counselling to the patients and their families.5.Establishes and supervises the clinical and scientific projects in the field of Audiology.6.Performs assessments of occupational hearing loss as related to professional compensation.7.Responsible for the supervising, guiding and training of university and post-graduate Audiology students, as well as assisting with on-the-job training of the Saudi Career Development Program (SCDP) students in the hospital.8.Responsible for performing routine quality assurance tests on the testing equipment used in the clinic.9.Follows all Hospital-related policies and procedures.10.Participates in self & others education, training and development, as applicable.EducationDoctoral or Masters degree in Audiology is required. Experience RequiredFour (4) years of related experience in Clinical Audiology with Doctoral degree (at least two (2) years post experience) or six (6) years of related experience in Clinical Audiology Practice with Masters Degree (at least four (4) years post experience) is required.
