SummaryPerforms regular duties and assists in management of the department. Educates and evaluates department staff and trainees. Supervises Anesthesia Technologists schedules and work assignments to provide adequate staff coverage to meet Operating Room requirements. Assures proper operation of equipment and adequacy of supplies. Assures cost containment is achieved at all levels of operation of Anesthesia Technology (AT) Section.Essential Responsibilities and Duties1.Supervises and manages the AT Section services in any assigned area, such as: Operating Room Level II, Level IV, Outlying-areas or KFNCCC.2.Improves, maintains, and audits the quality of work. Implements and adheres to Joint Commission International Accreditation (JCIA) standards.3.Ensures proper arrangement, organizes workflow and scheduled tasks.4.Ensures appropriate Incident Reports and setsrotation of weekly schedule coordination with the supervisor/head. Supports the supervisor/head with evaluation of the AT section staff.5.Monitors the educational training and development for Anesthesia Technologists. Monitors, educates, and trains students. Orients and evaluates new staff during probationary period.6.Coordinates educational activities with Training and Development Department, Life Support Training Center, and Saudi Commission for Health Specialists, etc. 7.Coordinates with the other seniors and supervisors for interdepartmental organization issues. Provides liaison between AT section and other departments to coordinate activities for optimum patient care.8.Attends and participates in meeting or other activities. Represents the department in multi-disciplinary meetings.9.Schedules daily work assignments for Anesthesia technologists to provide adequate staffing for Operating Room requirements. Assigns Technologists to other departments where Anesthesia Technician services are required. 10.Assures the availability of proper operating equipment to meet daily requirements.11.Maintains adequate stocks of supplies ordering when necessary.EducationMasters or Bachelors Degree in Anesthesia is requiredExperience Required.Grade 09:Four (4) years of related experience with Masters Degree, or six (6) years with Bachelors Degree is required..Grade 10:Four (4) years of experience as a Anesthesia Technologist, or (Grade 09) related experince is required.One-hundred (100) cumulative continued medical education [CME].-One-hundred (100) cumulative continued medical education [CME].Other Requirements(Certificates)Current Registration from country of origin and Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCHS) is required.
