The Honeywell Aerospace Services and Connectivity Infrastructure team provides services to the Development Teams to enable them to build, test and deploy their changes to production. They also work closely with Aero S&C Operations to support key activities relating to Cloud, CyberSec, and ICT to support Connected Offerings. We are seeking a Senior Advanced Cloud Developer to support the growth of our DevSecOps team which delivers alongside our engineering teams an Aerospace S&C Hybrid Cloud Platform. In this role the successful candidate is also expected to perform technical hand-on DevSecOps responsibilities alongside team contribution. This will include contributing to a team within engineering that supports software development through providing DevSecOps capabilities via performance and site reliability engineering, maintaining high performing software development tools while providing a 5-star developer experience, automation enabling promotion and release management, and overall performance. Proactively contributing to solutions that diminish operational issues, helping developers build highly scalable applications, and architecting infrastructure as code to gain efficiencies and increase productivity across all Aero S&C initiatives-all while delivering 99.999% SLA across all systems in the Aero S&C area of responsibility. Key Responsibilities: ? Contribute to a team of DevSecOps and Networking engineers balancing between application support, promotion and release support, developer apps and IaaS automation and other strategic work. ? Providing career and skills growth, team contribution and motivations, and managing individual performance to contribute to a high performing team. ? Lead through example and provide DevSecOps thought leadership in areas of CI/CD and continuous testing & certification, site reliability within a cloud and private cloud-based microservices and data architecture based on previous industry experience with large scale cloud platforms ? Linux administration in support of developer applications and databases (MariaDB, MySQL, MongoDB, PostgreSQL) ? Support as technical lead of message queueing applications (Kafka, IBM MQ, Rabbit MQ) ? Support of domain services (DNS, SMTP, etc.) ? Support of virtualization layer (Microsoft Hyper-V, VMware, KVM) ? Own and evangelize DevSecOps, scalable application development, escalation, and support procedures ? Maintain technical skills and contribute to DevSecOps and Infrastructure team. ? Contribution to team?s technical growth in DevSecOps and Testing approaches for large-scale cloud offerings. ? Contribute to the establishment of appropriate benchmarks for load testing and performance optimization. ? Be knowledgeable about security principles and best practices and enforce them, consistently. ? Operational knowledge and execution of duties per NIST risk management framework principles. ? Bachelors or master?s degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Software Engineering or Computer Science. ? 5+ years of software development experience and/or Cloud infrastructure operations within the cloud platform and SaaS domain. ? 3+ years of direct experience with Linux administration. ? Demonstrated technical experience in DevSecOps capabilities and running systems in a large-scale cloud environment ? Well versed in CI / CD methodology and tooling: Bamboo, JFrog, Octopus, Gitlab, Jenkins, Harbor, Bitbucket ? Exposure to quality assurance strategies for microservices and data lake deployments. ? Experience with Helm, Prometheus, Elastic (ELK), Istio ? Experience with cloud platforms in a production environment ? Experience with Ansible, PowerShell, Azure-CLI, Pipeline scripting ? Experience with Container Technologies ? Experience with message queueing technologies (IBM MQ, Rabbit MQ, Kafka) ? Experience with agile or iterative development methodologies in delivering SaaS products. ? Sound change management skills to lead change and acceptance within the workforce by proactively and creatively taking action to achieve goals. We Value ? Working alongside Operations and/or SRE teams to ensure business continuity and site reliability. ? Experience with Azure, OpenShift, Kubernetes, Rancher, Kafka, Kong in a production environment ? AWS or other third-party Cloud certifications ? Experience working in Docker, writing Docker files ? Understanding of Security Concepts and NIST Standards ? Experience with quality assurance strategies and associated tools such as chaos monkey, contract testing, unit and component integration testing. Xunit, Pact, locust, JMeter, Selenium tools exposure preferred. ? Familiarity with Atlassian?s suite of tools (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket) ? A strong sense of ownership and accountability ? A passion for technology, learning, and finding the best solution ? Demonstrated ability to influence and drive best practices across a large, geographically dispersed development organization. ?
