Jobs at this level are responsible for supporting complex accounting activities, generating planned and ad-hoc reports, assessing financial risks, identifying accounting variances and their causes. Also, they are responsible for implementing relevant accounting procedures from compliance and legal perspectives to ensure that work is carried out in a controlled & consistent manner and assist in managing zakat & tax activities.Accounting:-Support complex accounting activities within the specified area of work, ensuring accurate reconciliation and updated book keeping.-Resolve simple to complex accounting problems arising during day - to - day work.-Implement relevant accounting procedures from a compliance and legal perspective to ensure that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.-Support in implementing accounting procedures from a compliance and legal perspective and in a consistent manner. Financial Reporting:-Ensure accuracy of collected data and generates planned and ad hoc reports using financial reporting systems, for various stakeholders.-Analyse accounting reports to identify variances and their causes, highlights discrepancies, if any and recommendations for course correction.-Prepare management information reports to provide internal customers with relevant information to support operational and strategic decision - making. Zakat & Tax:-Assist in representing STC and its subsidiaries in front of DZIT, appeal committees and board for any objections and queries.-Maintain good understanding of applicable Zakat & Tax laws, regulations, double taxation affecting STC and its operations. Generic Role:-Perform routine activities within the specified scope. -Support in relevant analysis to provide necessary information and assistance to internal and external customers.-Help with routine work and escalates issues, as necessary. -Liaise within the assigned team to build effective working relationships.
