Please make sure to complete an application by clicking here for this job posting.The individual will provide Individualized Education Program (IEP) mandated counseling to students enrolled in BOCES programs throughout Orleans and/or Niagara Counties. The individual will facilitate conflict resolutions, implement students IEPs and work with a multi-disciplinary team to ensure student success. The individual must have the ability to collaboratively work with colleagues, maintain accurate records and have a strong knowledge of outside resources available to support students. The individual must have knowledge of behavior modification techniques and an understanding of at-risk youth. Therapeutic Crisis Intervention and de-escalation training, and an understanding of trauma and how it manifests in children and adolescents, are desirable. An understanding of the differences in developmental needs and externalizations for students is preferred. The individual must have or be eligible for appropriate certification upon hire. Regular attendance and dependability are required. Other responsibilities may be assigned. Assignment is subject to change.
