Job Description

Role of Safety Officer is to implement and improve plans for the safety of Companys employee at work; support Safety Management for compliance and adherence to Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) guidelines. As a Safety Officer, he should have good interpersonal skills and ability to work with workers and general staff; train staff for general safety programs and perform toolbox talk. Job Responsibilities:

  1. Directly reporting to Safety Support Manager.
  2. Implement safety programs as developed by the safety management to prevent, or correct unsafe working conditions; evaluate the results and suggest for improvements.
  3. Examines Non routine activities to determine if all safety precautions have been included as well as perform risk assessment as required.
  4. Daily Tours plant to inspect fire and safety equipment; machinery, and facilities to identify and correct potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  5. Send related reports as required in Safety Calendar.
  6. Assure that recommended PPEs are used as per the location. Suggest for any improvement if required.
  7. Conducts or coordinates safety and first aid training to educate workers about safety policies, laws and practices.
  8. Investigates industrial accidents/incidents to minimize recurrence and prepares accident reports.
  9. Attend the air quality tests that are done by third party to assurance compliance with legal requirements.
  10. Motivates and influences workers and employees to plan and execute every task in a fashion where safety is the first consideration.
  11. Conducts internal safety and health audits of the facility to ensure compliance.
Minimum Qualification & Experience:
  • Certificated Safety Professional Practitioner, Occupational Health& Safety Technologist.
  • 0-2 Years Experience in the field of OHS in Electrical or similar Industry.
Required Skills:
  • Able to train the employees about safety.
  • Able to make induction training for the employees.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
